Hello,

If download and install ODM from your product account now. You should get ODM V4.03 (4.3.7839.30748)

Thanks

ObjectDesktop itself is a suite of programs which can be installed/configured with ObjectDesktopManager.

Latest versions and betas are available according to your current subscription status.

If I download ObjectDesktop from my product account I only get Version 4.01. Is there any way to upgrade the version?

From what I know if your subscription is still active you should be able to download the latest version from your product account. Everyone is having the same link and it should be version V4.03.

Thank you.

You should be able to get all your available download from here https://store.stardock.com/myaccount/products. Try download from there.

Did you try downloading using that blue "Download" button?

Thank you.

That is really strange. Can you try download it from different machine. And first uninstall your current ODM. reboot. Reinstall using the installer you download from that other machine. Reboot and report back.

Thank you.

Sure, I did. This button links to https://cdn.stardock.us/downloads/public/software/objectdesktop/objectdesktop_setup.exe. This downloads V 4.01, as mentioned above.

9.5.3.0 is the downloaded file version.

thanks a lot for your support, hope we find a solution.. ;)

If you click on View Individual Downloads, you should be able to get all your software.  It is a good idea to save these installers in case your subscription lapses. You'll have access.

Oh, thanks a lot for that.

Is there a way to get the newest Version 4.03 of object desktop itself? There is no update button within the software and i can't find a way to download it..

From what I know ODM will update itself or at least, ask, if you wish to update if it detect there is update available, everytime it load up.

Thank you,

Sorry to revive this old thread, but I have still the same problem of the original poster. I've tried all the options suggested here (download from the blue button, uninstall first, reboot, reinstall, doing black magic,...) but nothing as of today has worked. I have still OD 4.01 which doesn't even auto-update, and of course I have an active subscription.

Is it really so difficult to provide the proper software? For what is worth, this is the SHA-256 of the OD installer downloaded from "My Downloads" (blue button), which has reinstalled from scratch version 4.01.

Hello,
Sorry to hear you are having issues. But, actually, it not difficult at all for most of us.  Not really sure why it being difficult for your system. Do you have any other system to test it out. Also, have you try, uninstall ODM, reboot, reinstall ODM with the latest version you download directly via the product account page. Reboot again after the installation finish. Test it.

Thanks

Thank you for your answer, but: been there, done that, still 4.01. If you have the latest version of the installer for OD you can easily verify that its SHA256 is probably different from mine which, I reiterate, I had just downloaded from my account a few minutes before posting. Here is its sigcheck output:

objectdesktop_setup.exe:
        Verified:       Signed
        Signing date:   21:22 7/2/2020
        Publisher:      STARDOCK SYSTEMS, INC.
        Company:        n/a
        Description:    Setup Application
        Product:        Setup Factory Runtime
        Prod version:   9.5.3.0
        File version:   9.5.3.0
        MachineType:    32-bit

I'm sure it's something that's happening to just a few users, and my opinion is that there should be an issue on the user's account in such cases, I don't understand how would it be different. I am also puzzled that OD 4.01 DOES NOT offer me, never, the possibility to download the newer version.

I've opened a ticket with the support staff, let's see.

Thanks again.

My ODM showed version 4.01 too after downloading form my account, so my guess is that something is not working in the autoupdate process of the manager.

I managed to update manually by going to the folder C:\Users\YOURUSERNAME\AppData\Local\Stardock\ObjectDesktop. Look for the file ObjectDesktopManagerUpdate.exe and run the installation.

Hi JanOscar,

Thank you for the suggestion. I've gone in the mentioned directory, and I've found that the ObjectDesktopManager.Update.exe was really named as ObjectDesktopManager.Update.ex2 (this is from an re-installation from scratch, as I wrote before). I renamed it to the "correct" name (ObjectDesktopManager.Update.exe), run it, no change. Closed OD, restarted, no change.

It's worth mentioning that clicking on the download software link from My Orders (the link ending in 242) DOES NOT work in my case, I get the error "An error occured when attempting to download Object Desktop Upgrade (from Standalone)." for which I have opened a support case (no answer yet).
