Taskbar position only works on secondary monitors :(

How can I get the primary monitor setting to affect the primary monitor? I have restarted explorer and restarted my PC, still looks like the image.

Hello,
Sorry to hear you are having issues. Need to know.

  1. Your Windows 11 version, please use Windows "Winver.exe" to get full version numbers.
  2. Start11 version numbers.
  3. You using Autohide taskbar?

Thanks

Thanks for the prompt reply, heres the info:

Edition Windows 11 Pro

Version 21H2

Installed on ‎2/‎24/‎2022

OS build 22000.493

Experience Windows Feature Experience Pack 1000.22000.493.0

Start11 Version: 1.11

And because you had asked about the auto-hide (it was off), I toggled settings on and off and was able to work around my own issue following these steps:

  1. In Windows Taskbar -> Personalization - uncheck "Show my taskbar on all displays"
  2. In Start11 -> Taskbar - set Taskbar Position of Primary Monitor to "Bottom", then click "Restart Explorer"
  3. In Start11 -> Taskbar - set Taskbar Position of Primary Monitor to "Top", then click "Restart Explorer"
  4. In Windows Taskbar -> Personalization - check "Show my taskbar on all displays"

Then they all share the same position, yay! Hope this helps anyone else that hits this, but this issue is now closed for me.

Thank you!
