Took 30 mins for shortcut to show up

from Stardock Forums

I dropped a shortcut into Litcube\Appdata\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\Steam

 

It took 30 mins for Start11's Apps menu to show it.  I've attached a snap of the menu I'm talking about.  How do I fix this?

Yes.  I just did it again with another game shortcut.  It's a Steam generated desktop shortcut.

 

The shortcut is not there.  But it will show in in some time.

It is a possible VBS issue. Windows 11's VBS has caused similar issues for me so it is better just to switch it off to get better performance.

To do this in the Windows 11 search menu type

core isolation

then switch it to off

Other than a sync issue, I cant imagine what could be causing it.

If you have other admin accounts on the same PC, does it happen under them as well?  If you need to create one to test:

Yes, that's correct.  It just replicated the issue.  How long is it *supposed* mto take for the shortcut to show up?  Is there supposed to be a delay?  What's the purpose of this design?
