There Ought To Be A Law...
I can never understand all the antagonism you guys throw at Kona, personally I have never had a problem with any of his posts. Maybe it's just me? I sincerely believe he is trying hard to fit in here, and he's not doing a bad job as far as I can see. So, as a moderator on this site, I am asking you all to cut him some slack. There are, and have been in the past, much more annoying people on this board. And I have read many more inane threads than this one.
So having said that, there ought to be a law force people to give others a second chance.

| Yes, I have chronic ADD. Hard to control without meds and since I have no health plan, I have not had my prozac for over a year |
If you are an adult with ADD, you probably don't need medication like prozac (which is really more of a psychiatric drug). Sure you may have mood swings; feel depressed. Thing is you want to treat the cause and not the symptom. The last thing you need is some psychiatrist making drug stew in your brain. Something like prozac may seem to help in that they keep you on a level course, keep the symptoms contained. The goal, no matter your age, should be more than that.

smile to it helps !

Kona....BoXXi isn't on this board as often as some....hence his not 'having a problem'....however those who are here often are witness to numerous rash statements followed by retractions and many conflicting views which change with the season....from OS preference to just about any subject imaginable.
Hint....adopt an opinion and stick to it.....research uncertainties so input can be cogent...don't try so hard to 'fit in'...and ideally avoid crossing swords with those responsible for the smooth running of the site....and all will be well...

| #69 by Kona0197 - 10/8/2003 8:02:21 PM Karmagirl: read and understand what Boxxi said. This is in reply to what you posted in the Marathon thread. |
What BoXXi said is his opinion. I don't have to agree with it. If you saying that the moderators would reject a submission from you simply because it was from you doesn't bother him, or that you tell people to "get a life" and "grow up" isn't something he objects to, then that is his opinion - but I don't agree. There are many *many* things that you have said that should not be tolerated, but they are and you repeatedly say "sorry" for them but you never change the behavior.
You need to also keep some things in perspective here: 1) Not all the admins pay attention to the boards as much as Jafo, Paxx and I do. 2) I work for Stardock. Why does that matter? Because I have a bit more at stake than the other moderators. I have worked at Stardock for a very long time, I am part of the management team, and I would hate to think that new customers or site contributors do not post to this site because of some of the unnecessary and objectionable posts that are made here. If you don't like my opinion, maybe you should take another perspective. How would you like it if you worked at a company since it was a start-up, spent countless hours on your own time working on a site to help it grow, only to have a non-contributing member cause conflicts and *never* listen to any advice that you provide? Just think about it Kona. It would be appreciated if you would stop and think prior to pushing the "submit" button. I don't think that is an unreasonable request.
