Start 11: how to pin to the menu

How do i pin to the Start 11 screen? I found that choice a few times, now I can't.

Hello,
Sorry to hear you are having issues. You can right click to a shortcut on your desktop and select Pin to Start11.

for many desktop items, have to select "more options" to see the Pin to 11" choice. And for some, have to "go to file location".

But I'm still puzzled why sometimes when i click on the start button I seed the pinned item with the label "Pinned" and other times I see the pinned items but not the title "Pinned".  Occassionaly don't even see the pinned items.

Start 11

Win 11 10.0.22000 build 22000

Nvidia  driver Studio 512.59 dated 4 26 22

Nvidia RTX 3080

Dell 32 inch 4k

 

 

Never tried the options before on this, so don't know if new issue.

But the inconsistent labeling of Pinned menu of items is not new.

 

Also, if i have more pinned items than can fit on opening screen, shouldn't I be able to scroll to see others?

Not if you on Modern style. If you wish to extend that space to make your pinned items show up in Modern/Windows 7 style you need to adjust the Columns and Shortcut count.
