Icons too close together

All of the sudden my icons are overlapping each other. How can I spread them out? I am using Windows 10 Pro on PC.

Try right click on desktop to View to resize icons to small or classic view .

Did you try scrolling down with your mouse wheel ?

I was able to fix it. For the benefit of others who may have the same problem, I restarted my computer. I know, I know. I shoulda done that first.  I have a laptop which I use alone or connected to external monitors at my office or monitors at home. I suspect moving around messed up my display. The icons are no longer overlapping. However, I retain the names with them on the screen and I would like to be able to spread them out a little more.
