Start11 v1.0 with "Windows 10 menu" – opening animation occurring despite being turned off

Using Start11, version 1.0.

Start menu style is set to "Windows 10 style".

Under "Customize the visual appearance" and then "Visual touches", I have "Animate the window when opening it" turned OFF.

Despite this, when I open the Start11 menu, the tiles and the app menu on the left-hand side sort of jutter around.  It looks to me like they start in the correct position and then reset downwards a bit, and animate back upwards as they should if animation was turned on.  (The start menu "frame" itself does not animate.)

I would expect the menu to open quickly with no movement of the tiles or menu items if animation is disabled.
