What are eligibilty requirements for upgrade discount from Start10 to Start11

I own two licenses to Start10 and when I checked to see if I was eligible for the upgrade discount to Start11, Stardock automatically told me that I was not eligible. I used the email address with which I've logged into Stardock.com since I purchased Start8 ever so long ago. I realize the discount won't be much given how low cost Start11 is, but since they're going to allow just 1 device per license, I'm going to have to buy a lot more licenses than I use now.

Thanks for any clarification on eligibility for the upgrade discount.

Thanks, but the FAQs do not address the question of eligibility for the discounted upgrade price on Start11. Could somebody at Stardock please explain why, as owner of two licenses for Start10 (and before that Start8), I don't qualify for the discounted upgrade price to Start 11 according to your system? Thank you.

Hello,

I see there is a clause there that said

If I purchase Start11, can I get more licenses at a discount?
Yes, once you purchase Start11 (or any Start product), you will be able to get additional Start11 licenses at a discount using the 'upgrade' link on the product page(s):

So, you should get discount if you purchase more, no?

Thank you.

I have raised this internally so someone can look into why it isn't allowing you a discount if you already own Start10.

Hello,

Sorry to hear you are having trouble.

The reason is that you cant get a discount upon a discount. In your case, yes you have Start10 on your account but it was via 'Start10 upgrade' which was discounted from being a prior owner of Start8.

That said, I have PM'd you a coupon code so that you can get it at a discount.  Just be sure to order all that you need in this one transaction as it is a one-time use.

Does this mean that anyone else in the same predicament also can get the discount?

I believe the limitation has been removed - if you have an 'upgrade' product, it will now allow for a discount.
