Leave Groups Grouped to long causes Issues

Groupy does not like long-term use.... ie leave groups tabbed for longer than 15 days. . Yea i know should restart my PC more often but why?? I got a beast..... I have too many tabs to reopen when I restart PC which is why I let it sit forever... Every time I Click another tab it brings an image of it to my main screen. Simple enough to fix just restart PC but it really shouldn't do this....

Well I already restarted my PC cuzz I had to work today and couldn't go another shift fighting with it :D so... wont be an issue for a while.... Will keep this suggestion in mind next time it happens...

 

Edit: it also prevents me from renaming tabs once this issue starts until I restart. The menu options wont pull at all for groupy.

It sounds like your computer may have suffered some sort of resource leak if the menus don't open either.  This would fit in with it taking 15 days to show up.

The USER and GDI usage of groupyctrl.exe would be interesting to know.

Well here we are bit longer than expected, cuzz of windows updates, but it finally happened again  :D   restarting the WinExp did not work sadly.  But here is the data: (I will be restarting PC to get error to go away) 

(Update -tried just turning groupy off and on and seems to have fixed it??)

I do know that if you are using Windows 11; that there is currently a memory leak in explorer that has been around since beta that they still have not fixed. That would be my only guess

On Windows 10 at this time and will wait as long as I can before going to Win11
