Hello Peeps, how are we all doing? I hope everyone is well and staying safe from this awful pandemic.

I have just returned to Windows Blinds and last night I purchased the Astrometrix master skin and I was wondering if someone can please help me with the setting called "Per application" in WIndows Blinds?

I have added my Portable Thunderbord to the list and I disabled the skin from being used in it. But for some reason one section of my Thunderbord where the messages are displayed is still showing the skin? So I am wondering how can I disable the skin from still skinning this area?

Here is a screenshot so you can see what I am talking about.

See how the top window and scroll bars are still using the theme?

Obvisouly I am doing something wrong but I don't know what as I have tried different options so any help will be greatly appreciated.

Thank you and stay safe everyone.

Hello,
Sorry to hear you are having issues. But, I do not see it on my system. Please review my screenshot below. Not sure if it because your is portable and mine is normal install kind. Might be you needed to reboot for it to take effect.

Hello, and thank you for taking the time to get back to me and no need to apologise as these things are sent to test us LOL.

I didn't think of that as in being a portable app? I will enable the theme again and test it with a installed app and see how I go.

Once again thank you for taking the time to get back to me and have a great day :).

Hello again.

I just managed to install a proper installation of Thunderbird but it seems I am still facing the same problem :(.

Also here for other apps I have installed.

So now I am at a loss and I don't know what else to try?

Could it be a bug in Windows Blinds or something else?

Same thing applies when using different skins.

Thanks.

Hello,

From your new screenshots, the scrollbars no longer skin, yes? As for the colors, that can not be help since if you use skin that change Windows system colors, usually dark theme skin do this, than that colors will stay for all other application that use Windows system colors. Even those that you have excluded in WB.

Thank you,

Hello, and thanks for getting back to me again.

I actually used a different skin in the above screenshots to see if it made a difference so the scroll bars you see in those screenshots are from that skin.

Maybe I can change the colours in the skin itself? That might be a soloution around this problem?

I also downloaded WIndows Blinds yesterday and installed that as I have been a Stardock subscriber for many years. Anyway that works well and doesn't seem to have the same issue that Windows Blinds does for some reason.

End of CybaGirl's quote

I'm guessing you meant you downloaded Curtains yesterday... etc.

Yes, Curtains doesn't change system colors and doesn't try to skin as thoroughly as WindowBlinds, which lets Win10 and programs run in their more natural state.  To me, the two are very different and I switch back and forth between the two occasionally, depending on "how much" I want. ;)   Each has it's strengths.
