Hi,
I have tried to played the Crusade Campaign and the game crashed twice.
The fist time was during turn one or two, I have made a mistake and I've lost the campaign. I clicked on "retry" and the game crashed during the loading.
The second time happened a few minutes ago. I finished the Arcea scenario by taking Drengin planets and after the "you won" screen, I clicked on "next" screen and...the game crashed again.
You will find my configuration below.
As for troubleshooting :
- verifying cache : already done two days ago while I was investigating another issue not related (I will open another thread)
- upgrading my Nvidia video driver : I prefer to to. Nvidia driver for gaming laptop are a bit special, usually, you should stick to the driver compiled by the constructor (MSI in that case). I use 442.23 for my RTX 2060, I might update it if you are sure it won't break anything, but I prefer not to
- I have 16 GB RAM so I'mn not sure pagefile size is pertinent
- I have not problems with other games, I had green screen on Final Fantasy X HD Remaster which were fixed by putting the power management to optimise for maximal performance, don't know if this is related or not
- I haven't tried to run Steam as Administrator because as an IT i don't see why a gaming platform should be run as admin but i could give a try if you ask me
- I don't use any mods
- I have all DLC
- I have not suscribed to any Betas
- I have not tried to disable Steam Cloud. Could it be related ?
- I have not seen any "failed to" in the Debug file
