Hello,
DS 11 is still under Beta release now. Its only available for ObjectDesktop subscriber for now. It should be available for purchase when it is out from Beta Stage. If you have DS10, you will need to purchase a new license key for DS11.

Windows licenses cost rather more than DeskScapes 10 did and Microsoft gave you an upgrade to v10 because they didn't want anyone using Windows 7 anymore.  Had Windows 8 been a success they may not have given Win10 upgrades away.  They didn't give away Win8 licenses when it came out.

They were also hoping to make money from their cut of things sold on the Microsoft Store, but that may not have worked out for them yet.

You may wish to consider purchasing an ObjectDesktop license. It is a relatively cheap purchase for the litany of programs you get for it (much less than buying them individually) and you get some additional benefits. You get early access to new releases so you not only get to check them out but can also aid in the development process. You also get free upgrades during the subscription period and extending that time (an additional year) is even cheaper.

You only loose out a few more bucks but gain a lot more for total net win imho.

I have DS11 but for some reason since the latest windows 10 update my desktop doesn't work unless I open deskscapes and apply to desktop again - then the video skin works. Please sort out the beta as I don't want to have to open deskscapes each time windows starts to update my desktop for it to work

Hello,
Sorry to hear you are having issues. Please try purge and reinstall steps as mentioned here: https://forums.stardock.com/485954/deskscapes-support-faq#reinstalling. Just make sure to re-download the latest version from your account. Reboot after the purged. Reinstall, and Reboot again after the installation. Retest it. Report back here.

Hello,
Sorry to hear you are having issues. If you was looking for your software using your ObjectDesktop manager, you need to go to ODM Setting, tick the "Show Beta downloads" Refer screenshot below. All available betas should be listed.

We recommend using the direct download from your account : https://store.stardock.com/myaccount/products

Thanks

Kind of off-topic on this thread but where would you suggest I find videos on each of the software (such as Tiles etc) to get really good with them?

I have seen the Fences quick tips one, looked on YouTube too and seen some.  I know how to use the software but am mainly looking for how to use the different variations or advanced tips on Tiles, DeskScapes, Curtains, WindowBlinds etc.

Thanks
