Windows icons do not appear at startup

Good day! I recently had a problem, when Windows starts, the desktop icons are not loaded, but if I right-click the icons, they are loaded. I completely uninstalled the program with a full cleanup it didn't help. Please help me. I am also attaching a video error.

Hello,
Sorry to hear you are having issues. But, please turn "on" Show desktop icons". Reboot and see if that help.

Just to confirm, you're on Fences version? And, your setting should be like below. Enable, but adjust the hide icons when desktop is not in use accordingly to your preference. If you prefer set it to 10 minutes to have it on longer.

Thank you,

I did it as you did in the screenshot, but that didn't help either.

Hello,
Please try purge and reinstall steps as mentioned here: https://forums.stardock.com/486084/fences-support-faq#reinstalling. Just make sure to re-download the latest version from your account. Reboot after the purged. Reinstall, and Reboot again after the installation. Retest it. Report back here.

Thank you,

Thanks, I did everything, but it didn’t help. I solved the problem myself, in startup I saw that the program was simply turned off from startup, turned it on and everything works. Rescue of the drowning, the work of the drowning themselves. Thank you for your time.

This is very similar using Windows 10:

After Windows update the Show desktop icons at startup can get out of synch in Fences 3.
Right click Windows desktop, click view,  Show desktop icons (always unchecked at startup)

To get back in synch:
Go into Fences, Quick hide and turn off any hide options.
Be sure that Always show icons at startup is checked.
Even if Quick hide is disabled the settings may have to be written to disk

I noticed double-clicking Windows desktop worked 1-time to show desktop icons.
I had Quick hide disabled and changing settings and rebooting got it back in synch.

The Always show icons at startup may or may not work even when Quick hide is disabled.
I will test this after saving this post.  Anyway, this worked for me 8/11/2011.
