Fences 3.09 causes Windows File Explorer (explorer.exe) thread to hang and use 100% cpu
As described in the title: Fences 3.09 causes Windows File Explorer thread to hang. This happens intermittendly, approximately once or twice a month. My Windows system becomes very sluggish and some programs stop responding at all until I manually killed Windows File Explorer and restart it.
This is on a Windows 10 20H2 (OS Build 19042.985) system, x64 bit. It also happened on previous versions of Windows (certainly on Windows 10 20H1).
I'm not exacte sure WHEN this issue happens, but it is related to me connecting an external monitor to my system, possibly together with Google Chrome (90.0.4430.212 (Official Build) (64-bit) (cohort: Stable)) running hardware accelerated graphics. It certainly doesn't happen every time I connect an external display, but sometimes this happens.
I have recorded a number of stack traces. Below is one of them, showing it is the DesktopDock64.dll module (file version 3.0.9.11) at the GetResolutionFingerprint + 0x43652 location, handling a Windows Message, where the bug is triggered. I can provide additional traces if necessary.
