Shouldn't someone ask if something is copyrighted before rejecting it?

I'm sorry to say that one of my works won't be available due to the fact the modiators say they believe it to be copyrighted work... Oh well, it was fully original and I spent quite some time working on it. In fact the girl I used on the fan was my wife... I wish someone would have asked before rejecting... Doesn't make it worth trying, ya know...

Why didn't you respond to the moderator's email?

that works every time...

I imagine it is a double-bound situation. If it were copyrighted and they left it up to check, then it would be available for all that time for download. On the other hand, if they hold it while they check, valid work may get delayed. They cannot recall downloaded work, and a delay (though frustrating) is a delay.

I know this probably doesn't help much.

about the lady in the fan being his wife...
Not you, David.

Actually China, she was elated it didn't pass, she had second thoughts but left it up to the moderators...

Why respond to the Mods email, and set things straight, when posting on the board is so much more dramatic?

lol Koasati! But I feel that the site should have some sort of form for the end user to state its originality rather than guessing...

The fan was just a recreation of the one I already have on site, and a simple pic of my wife would also verify the person I used as "original"!

Take it as a compliment that it looked so professional. I had second thoughts on posting it because of the model being recognizable and thinking it was from a copyrighted source. I also was afraid that there would be some debate about it being inapropriate for the site. It was very well done and since it's your own work I will post it. If it's okay with your wife...

So, it could have been cleared up easily, but instead, you start this thread..............  btw.........filling out a form wouldn't prove anything.

Yeah I thought so on the second part, David, but I just wondered... You'll hear her screaming from Texas! The funny thing with her is that she doesn't care what she is wearing, she just wanted to do another type of motion!

True Koasati, but it takes the liability off of the site... And for some reason a respond to the original email failed at my server... Oh well, I wrote the thread to find out what happened...

btw SlvrWolf - the background in the screenshot is awesome...
I've put it back in the que.  Sorry I jumped to conclusions, I usually do ask first. I can't remember what I said in the email. I didn't cuss you out did I?

I'am glad at least that this was handled in a descent manner. Remember, we Texans try to be civil and nice. Email would have been the prefered way to an admin. By the way, Koasati is a Texan also.Won't get you and points. Hehe. All the admins are great.

That's why there's a description field on the upload form page.

I think it is superdesign Slvr, it also shows that mods are great people to both.

My personal email got barraged with emails saying that it wasn't appropiate material! So, I just let it go and deleted the file, Sorry David for wasting your time... Some people's moral are severly mis-aligned!
