Steam Authentication

Steam Purchase

I continue to get the failed to authenticate fences with steam error when running Fences from steam. I purchased it in steam, and it works on my desktop PC, but will not activate on my laptop.

 

I have uninstalled via steam as is recommended, and re-installed, Ran as admin, and used the sasSteam.exe as admin as well. 

 

Any help would be appreciated.

Sorry to hear you are having issues. Not really sure about Steam purchase, but from what I know, you can only activate it once on one machine. Does it state otherwise on your purchase?

There is no indication on the steam store page or in my steam library that the installation is limited. I do have friends that have purchased the steam version and it works on several computers for them.

Steam was running, it is always running actually. 

 

But, for some reason or another, this last try, it worked. I uninstalled fences again, waited a day, reinstalled and ran it and worked like it did the first time I bought it on my main PC.

Got the same problem.  Installed it on my new pc and it said failed activation.  Tried it on my laptop and the same problem.  Any update on this?
