No Mouse/Kbd Control on Secondary

Hi,

I am running 3.55 on one primary and one secondary (both running x64 Win 10 Pro). It has been functioning fine for years.

Without any reason that I can detect, no control is possible on the secondary. The mouse moves but buttons dont work, kbd doesnt work, pressing ctl-alt-delete on title bar doesnt work.

My lan is configured as private. I have completely disabled windows firewall and I dont have any av on it.

I have no idea how to proceed because all your FAQ says is disable firewall.

I do have wireshark, if you want a trace

Thanks

So this link is completely duplicative to my original post. I HAVE already disabled the fw before posting and i have read all faqs.  Thats why im asking for addtl assistance

whats the next step?

That is most odd as mouse movements and keyboard movements go via the same connection.

I assume a local keyboard or mouse works fine on the secondary.

What antivirus/anti malware are you running on both ends as my initial thoughts are something is blocking injected input for security reasons or blocking capture for similar reasons.

Same thing i was thinking. However I had not manually changed anything. I disabled Norton firewall and verified secondary fw was disabled.

I then started turning off the features inside MalwareBytes. They turned off one-by-one just fine until I tried to disable malware protection. Then the entire app hanged.

I rebooted and disabled MB and everything worked. So I reenabled MB features one-by-one until all of them were on. And things still worked.

This is strange because I have rebooted dozens of times and that never fixed it. I am starting to suspect that either an MB patch got the malware protection confused or maybe one of the signature files. Ill never know for sure.

However i didnt want to have anyone expend any more energy on this as its working now.

Thanks
