Reinstalling after HD crash.

Long story short - I purchased Object Desktop in December of 2018.  PC crashed late 2019 and eventually had to replace the hard drive.  When I try to re-install Object Desktop it prompts me to renew.  The current link for renew does not mention that you are buying a 1-year license or that it will stop working after a year, only that you get no updates or beta access.

Is it possible to reinstall using the same key I purchased in 2018?

If I renew now, will it continue to work beyond 1 year?

I already sent an email via the online form on the website and was told to email support directly.  I did so but got a 'no ticket was created' message.

Any help or clarification would be greatly appreciated.

Hello,
Sorry to hear you are having issues. The key should still work for all the OD software you download when your subs still active. Just that you can no longer download it from Stardock.

If you resubscribe you will again be able to download those software from Stardock for another year. The software still work beyond that, but you will not be able to download anything after that from Stardock. What ever you have downloaded, kept on your system, should still work. Do be reminded that Windows 10 is changing every time and sometimes today version might not work properly with next year Windows 10 release.

Here where you can read more details on ObjectDesktop : https://forums.stardock.com/486310/object-desktop-support-faq#objectdesktop

Thank you for the quick, and accurate, response.  So to clarify, I am unable to get my existing keys to work unless I have access to the original installer.  And if I renew, I should back up the installer for the renewal in case this happens again.

I understand that software changes may occur and don't expect that this would be compatible forever.
