Icon spacing

Sorry to hear you are having issues. Need to know more on your issue.

1. Windows version, please use Winver.exe for full version numbers.
2. Fences versions.
3. Monitor/s resolutions and scaling applied (100%,125% etc)
4. Screenshot of your issue.

Please try purge and reinstall steps as mentioned here: https://forums.stardock.com/486084/fences-support-faq#reinstalling Just make sure to redownload the latest version from your account. Reboot after the purged. Reinstall, and Reboot again after the installation. Retest it. Report back here.

No change, unfortunately. Here's a snapshot:  

I also noticed that Outline Fence areas has no effect. The screen colour is black, so maybe the outline is black, too?

Please try changing your icons size to Classic icons and see if the spacing improve.

If you are talking about "Outline Fence areas" setting, that outline depend on your Fences background. For example, if you have a red background than the outline will seem darker shade of red. If your Fences background is black. Than yes you won't see that outline.
