After update Start10, Curtains makes trouble

After upgrading Start10 (1.75> 1.96), Curtains stops working. Transparency does not work, accent, the Start button disappears, changing the topic will cause an error.

Open your Object Dock Manager and see if the new update shows up there it should .

and report back .

Unfortunately, I do not have any current Object Desktop license. Only Start10 and Curtains. Only version 1.15 or beta 1.17 is available to me. Due to the difficulty of constantly deleting previous versions, Start10 and Curtains do not want to try this until a stable version is released.

OK , if you do need to uninstall, do this Purge

instead different than a regular uninstall.

Reboot then install new version reboot and test.

Purge link https://forums.stardock.com/500728/curtains-support-faq#CurtainsPurge

Try refresh your browser maybe this should show up

Hello.

I know where to download beta 1.17. I just didn't want to use it. I did it in the end and the problem persists. The chosen Cairo Dark skin does not support transparency, which is actually evident from the first screen. By some error, part of the elements were transferred from Curtains and part from Start10. The result was a mix of different mistakes, which gave a nice result.

I started drawing my own theme based on Cairo. It works quite successfully. He just had a question - what settings control the background of the Start10 menu? It was originally a color for accent, but I can't change this gray.

Apparently, the current version have make sure Curtains take over the Startpanel and Taskbar from Start10. I believe you will need to make the artwork transparent in Curtains to have those part transparent. Or you can disable these two option (red box) in Curtains so that Start10 could take over control on those two.

For the "gray bar" try changing it here :

I tried to draw the background independently and transparent. If I cancel the setting apply style to taskbar, I will lose the ability to skin taskbar buttons.

I don't have a "mouseover" item in my settings ...

Turn on "Show advance section in the style editor"

Cool. This is it! :P However, the "All Programs" and "Shut Down" buttons are still missing. They are still gray. :S

Last question: How to set the background of this window, or the frame? I changed the color difference with the command - AutoCreate = 1

I tried - it will color the item forever. Originally it worked the same as the rest of the menu - mouseover. :S

Well, when unsure, the best way to learn is check out others Style and see how it is done.

I learned a lot from other themes, but I didn't find the function of how to run the "mouseover" on the "All programs" and "Shutdown" buttons ("Shutdown.arrow"). It used to work and today I can't figure out how to put it into operation... :'(

Hello,

I don't really know what is your issue. Please explain to be what worked and not working now. A video of the issue would help me to understand it better. And if you wish you can send over the "xxx.CurtainsStyle" file to me and let me see if I can help.

The problem is really hard to describe ...

Start10 1.75 + Curtains 1.15, no mouseover defined, color is taken from accent settings, displayed everywhere after mouseover

Start10 1.96 + Curtains 1.17, mouseover is defined, the color is entered from the image 64x64px, "All programs, Shut down" is not displayed, respectively only the gray color in ALL themes I tried.

Note the first screen in the post that in Curtains, for example, passing a topic to the toolbar does not work even though it is enabled. Start10 has the main word here and skins the taskbar. However, the buttons are taken from the Curtains topic. It's such a mix. At that time, I did not yet know all the details.

Then just do as what the Original Cairo Dark did. Do not define anything on those 4 items (inside the red square) in the screenshot Reply#13.

Below a video I made for those version and I don't see the different on AllPrograms and Startbuttons except the Start10 transparent background on the older versions.

Unfortunately, the accent does not seem to work. It behaves very differently from your video. Still gray ...

Original Cairo Dark with orange taskbar and blue accent. :'(

You screenshot is on menu items not on allprogram or shutdown buttons. So I am not sure where you're looking at. Your post above refer to allprogram and shutdown. I can't help you any further. If you still need my help, please send over your .CurtainsStyle and I will have a look at it.

Your theme can't be applied. I wonder how you saved/export your theme? Please use Share with others button to export your new Style. Your style should be save in : C:\Users\Public\Documents\Stardock\Curtains\PackagedStyles . Share that one.
