Fences superimposed

Somehow I have a situation in which individual fences are sitting on top of, ( ie, in the space belonging to) another, larger space - these superimposed  fences cannot be moved.

How can I correct this by moving them out on to their own spaces ?

Thanks for any help -

Mac

Hello,

Sorry to hear you are having issues.

Right click on your desktop to View and

scroll down to Lock Fences if it's checked

uncheck it , then you should be able to move Fences

as you wish .

Report back here if that works for you .

I have unticked "Lock fences".  I can move the other, problem-free fences, but not the superimposed ones.  When I hover over the title bar of these no X nor other symbol appears.

Hello,

Would you do this PURGE: https://forums.stardock.com/486084/fences-support-faq#reinstalling

Reboot and ReInstall the latest version from your account https://store.stardock.com/myaccount/products/

Reboot , test and report back .

If I do this purge, will I lose all my existing links and shortcuts on the Desktop?

Thanks very much for your further help.

My Windows 10 is set to auto-updates, so I assume I have the latest version?

How do I find out which version of Fences I have?

Can you explain how to update my snapshot?

Hello,

For Windows version use winver.exe

For Fences version open Fences app left side click on about .

For Fences Snapshot again open Fences app left side click on Layout and Snapping

there you'll see you options to take a new snapshot etc.

I believe, it is best to use latest Fences version, which is currently at V3.0.9.11, for latest Windows 10 version.

Thank you,
