I wasn't able to find info about whether fences last for a month or year or is it lifetime?

The Subscription based app Object Desktop ( which includes Fences ) is a Yearly Renewal Service .

It includes all and any updates and /or upgrades to a newer version as long
as your subscription stays current .
If you buy Fences as a stand alone item it is good for life ( save your app download )
and you get updates while it is the current version any upgrade to a newer version you
would have to buy again ( usually at a discounted price ) .
Each app is good to use on One PC .
