The latest version downloads, but does not complete installation.  When you run to set it up it hangs.  Attached is pic.  Afterwards a message pops up: stardock curtains problem code 805306369

If you try the install again, please take note of any notice that pops up in your action center:

There very well may be action you need to take to allow the installation to proceed.  If it does not notify, try turning off Windows Controlled Folder Access manually and attempting the install again:

Curtains 1.12 Changlog:

    • Adds a force glass explorer backgrounds option to the light/dark drop down. This is disabled for Windows 10 style and if a style has glassy backgrounds set. This setting is global and applies to all styles when set (apart from those mentioned)

I'm sorry, but I can't seem to find that option. Could you please tell me where it is?

Thanks a lot in advance!

Thank you very much for pointing me into the right direction. I've searched all the options, but didn't think of clicking on the "Dark Mode" button. Maybe the button should have another name, since it's not only for Dark Mode anymore.

Interestingly, I found another strange bug.   Trying to uninstall curtains is difficult.   During the uninstall process, it keeps asking to delete each curtain related file stored in the c:\Public\Public documents\Stardock\Curtains directory.   In order to continue I have to manually delete the directory for the uninstall to continue.

Any uninstall that prompts you that it cannot remove a file(s), it should allow you to 'ignore' it and it would do so (remove) after a reboot.

I think this is a bug in the operating system itself unfortunately.

The same should happen if you switch light/dark mode from the personalise menu in Windows 10.
