WindowBlinds and Microsoft Edge

I can't find a specific forum for WindowBlinds so sorry if this is the wrong place to post... :-(

I'm using WindowBlinds on both Windows 10 and Windows 8.1 and on both systems I've noticed that it doesn't seem to apply styles properly to the Microsoft Edge web browser. They're two different machines with the Win8.1 machine running quite an old version of Windowsblinds (version 8 from maybe 4 years ago) and the Win10 machine uses WindowBlinds 10 from only a week ago.

In both cases the window edges seem to get skinned okay but the title bar just gets left white. Has anyone else noticed this or does it just happen to me??

Hello,
Sorry to hear you are having issues. Windowblinds don't really work well with chrome base web browser such as Edge. Please try this guide and see if it help https://forums.stardock.com/486023/windowblinds-support-faq#chromeskin

Note : need to change it a bit to work for edge and need to turn on that option  "Allow Windowblinds to skin Google Chrome"

Thank you,

Many thanks Basj. Following the guide worked fine for Windows 10 but not for 8.1 Is there anything similar I can do for Win8.1 ?

Hello,

Sorry to hear you are having trouble.

I am afraid that Win8 issues likely will not be addressed anytime soon if at all.

End of CEFQuark's quote

You would need to ensure the option in Edge to auto load at startup is disabled and add the command line option to your edge shortcut and ensure WB is set to allow Chrome / edge to skin.

There are a lot of issues we've found with skins and Edge.  When newer apps come out but older skins are applied, WindowBlinds tries to apply (or guess) what piece from the skin might work.

We're working on a new version of WindowBlinds that we hope is better at doing this as Edge, especially since moving to Chromium has been a particular challenge.
