Restore Image

It didn,t work

In Stardock Fences 3, my current layout showed with a number of blank windows.  The frames were there but the icons were missing.

To solve this issue, I decided to replace what was there with a backup snapshot.  I did a right click on the desktop was made and selected “Configure Fences”.  I selected the one I wanted to use but when I selected “Restore Snapshot”, nothing happened.

I am still trying to activate that restore image but something is missing to make it happen.

Does anyone have a suggestion to solve this issue?

During this process have you rebooted your PC ?

If not reboot , see if that helps your fix .

Hello,

Would you do this PURGE: https://forums.stardock.com/486084/fences-support-faq#reinstalling

Reboot and ReInstall the latest version from your account https://store.stardock.com/myaccount/products/

Reboot again , and try snapshot again if needed . Reboot .

See if that works for you .

Question is if I uninstall the version that I have, will I lose the images that I had in that version

with a Purge your Snapshots remain ..

Used the Purge routine and needed to reinstall system since the new Fence's install  indicated that an uninstalled executable needed to be eliminated.  So, I did a system reinstall and again tried to install the new version of Fences and got the same message.

What went wrong?

Win Pro, 2004, SO Build 19041.508, Fences 3.09

Ran the bat, rebooted, got the same message after rebooting twice

Going to due some maintenance with CCleaner & Advance System Care  and try again.
