Groupy & Microsoft Teams

Does anyone know if Groupy has issues with Microsoft Teams? I've been seeing odd behaviour since reinstalling Groupy last week (Beta 1.42).

My default group has Edge, Slack, Teams Calendar, Outlook Inbox & File Explorer. The group works fine until I join a Teams meeting. Despite being told to group Teams windows together, it doesn't happen & the meeting window is free-floating. However, the Groupy bar acts up.

Teams sits in the middle of the Groupy bar as the active tab, but as you can see from the third image, the Edge browser is actually active. In this state, I can't click to any of the other Groupy tabs.

This happens to me daily. I usually have to close the programs with Task Manager then run my Groupy autostart group again.

Hello,
Sorry to hear you are having issues. I can't reproduce your issue on my system. I grouped Edge, File manager, MS Teams and Outlook. No issue switching between them. I don't have "Slack". Could you check if the problem still happened without Slack?

Thanks

Hi,

I did as you suggested, but the issue is still happening.

Here's the group before using MS Teams:

After using Teams for a meeting, this is what happens. This time the Outlook tab is showing active, but Edge is actually the active window.

Regards,

Michael

Further to the above, when I try to close my Stardock tab in Edge a shade appears over the complete Groupy window & I can't click the X to close the tab.

Please try purge and reinstall steps as mentioned here: https://forums.stardock.com/488142/groupy-support-faq#reinstalling Just make sure to redownload the latest version from your account. Reboot after the purged. Reinstall, and Reboot again after the installation. Retest it. Report back here.

I've done a purge, reboot, reinstall (1.41) & reboot. I'm still having issues.

I'm not including Slack in my group now. Here's my Application Grouping info:

It's still not working 100% as I keep getting this happening:

Edge is "popping out" into its own group, and when I minimise Edge then maximize it, it's back to original grouping again. I also see the fuzzy patch in the top-right of the screen.

The previous problems I've reported don't seem to happen if I don't group Slack. However, if I move Slack to the same monitor as my group, it adds on to the group automatically, even if I don't maximize it. Am I doing something wrong here?

From your screenshot above where you set "slack.exe" not to automatically group. Is only for setting your Slack not to automatically group when you open a new instance of "Slack". But it will still group with any group or any windows if you drag "Slack" over any groupy once any rule you set below is achieve.

Thank you,

Thanks for the tip & your help.

Sadly, my experience with using Groupy hasn't been the best, so I've decided to uninstall it.
