Naming/Renamig files issue

I have an issue that has bothered me for a long time, sometimes! when i rename a file, or even create a file, say a new txt file on desktop, and naming it "something".txt this happens : A folder on my desktop also gets renamed to "something". I usually see it and do the undo rename but it's annoying.

What's wrong?

Hello,
Sorry to hear you are having issues. I can't reproduce this issue. Please try purge and reinstall steps as mentioned here: https://forums.stardock.com/486084/fences-support-faq#reinstalling Just make sure to redownload the latest version from your account. Reboot after the purged. Reinstall, and Reboot again after the installation. Retest it. Report back here.

Thanks

What happens is that when a new element is created, sometimes an element from the desktop is already selected somehow, this makes it possible to accidentally rename a folder with the same name as a new file (in the creation process of desktop->rightclick ->new -> text document(or something else)), or, when dragging a file to the recycle bin, to also drag something else with it. I'm trying to 100% replicate it, just had a folder dragged to the recycle bin because i dragged a txt file there and somehow the folder was also selected.

Have you tried the purge and reinstall steps I suggested above?
