Bug: Groupy groups LibreOffice .ODS spreadsheet rather than grouped .ODT documents?

Hi,

Right now my LibreOffice .odt Invoices that I grouped won't reopen when I restore the group. It seems to be related to what is being saved when I save the group.

I found this forum thread and noted the command line argument:

https://forums.stardock.com/492519/page/1/#3735313

Code: vb
  1. <span style="background-color: #fdfdfd; font-size: 16px;">CommandLine= -writer "C:\Users\sdrohan\Documents\test2.odt"

In my groupy files, this is what I see:

Code: vb
  1. [GroupyEntry1]
  2. OwnerProcess=C:\Program Files\LibreOffice v6\program\soffice.exe
  3. RunElevated=0
  4. NoPatternMatching=0
  5. CommandLine=""-o" "F:\xxxx\Business Related\MyClients.ods" "-env:OOO_CWD=2F:\\xxxx\\Business Related""
  6. WorkingDirectory=C:\Program Files\LibreOffice v6\program

  64. MatchingClass=SALFRAME

It seems to have grabbed a spreadsheet that I always have open, every single time, rather than the invoices (.odt's) that were part of the group.

Please fix, thanks. :)

Hello,

Sorry to hear you are having trouble.

Libre and Open Office do some odd things that make it very challenging for Groupy account for.  While we will make accommodations where possible, not every use scenario can be included.

Yeah, I gathered that... since they have .bin files in my Task Manager, which are not normal. Everything else is an .exe - I imagine there's some sort of non-standard wizardry going on there. Thanks, though. All I can ask is that you try. :)

I also noticed that Portable apps don't restore, but I expected that. Portable Apps generally have a separate launcher that lets you tweak command lines and tweak behaviour. Without those matching up, it becomes a local copy that leaves traces on a computer. Not a big deal. I use portable browsers for different clients with different webapps/work, and browsers don't Groupy anymore anyway, so I'd write that one off as "oh well!"
