Location of account pictures at Start10

My PC belongs Active Directory Domain. The user record in AD has account picture. The picture is stored at:

C:\ProgramData\AccountPictures\{SID}

Windows account setting and login screen shows the picture.

But Start10's account picutre of Start7 style does not show it.

I set the account picture at Windows account setting and Start10's account picutre of Start7 style shows the picture.

I deleted %APPDATA%\Microsoft\Windows\AccountPictures\xxx.accountpicture-ms and Start10 keeps account picutre of Start7 style.

I want to know the source of Start10's account picture or location of the Start10's account picutre of Start7 style.

Start10 shows account picture if I set it at Windows10's Settings localy.

My issue is:

Start10 deos not show the account picture in active directory.

If I change the account picture in active directory, Windows10's account picture at Settings and login screen the

new account picture but Start10 shows the old account picture.

Okay, I can see the issue, but for me once I change the user picture. I just need go to Start10 config change the Style to Modern Style, click the Start button, notice that user picture changed there and go back to Start10 Config, change back to Windows 7 Style, and press the start button, and the User picture there has change to new one.

Can you try that and see if it work for you too.

Thank you,

Please try the purge and reinstall steps as mentioned here : https://forums.stardock.com/486022/start10-support-faq#reinstalling

Just make sure to re-download the latest version from your account. Reboot after the purge, reinstall using the installer you just download. Reboot again and retest. Report back.

I have a clean Virtual Windows10 in my domain and install the latest Start10 from Stardock site on it just before test. I am not using my usual Start10 for test. Every time after test the virtual Windows10 is back to initial from the snapshot.

End of takasiyano's quote

I am sorry, I don't really understand what you are trying to say. Have you not try the purge and reinstall?

I may find the reason why Start10 deos not show the account picture in active directory.

Start10 seems to get account picutre from *.dat file at:
C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\User Account Pictures

Actitve directory logon stores account picture only at:
C:\ProgramData\AccountPictures\{SID}

and Windows10 reads this.

Windows10 Settings stores account picture at:
C:\ProgramData\AccountPictures\{SID}
C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\User Account Pictures
%APPDATA%\Microsoft\Windows\AccountPictures

When I change account picture at active directory, only the account picture at:
C:\ProgramData\AccountPictures\{SID}
is changed and the old account picture is left at:
C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\User Account Pictures
%APPDATA%\Microsoft\Windows\AccountPictures
