Icon packager, CursorFX plus has Issue, please help

Hi Everyone

This might solve already. But I create this like a solution center for people contribute their own opinion

!!! Please help me changes all Icon and the Cursor appear In the front !!!


I have a trial version of CursorFX Plus and Iconpackager, has use one of the theme and icon packs for test, If it worth to buy.

But these Issue occur, Is this happens when you didn't paid or the software version is not latest?

1. Icon Packager

Icon packager problem

  • File Explorer: The icon just change a few not all (Drives has change, but Picture, Desktop,.... has not)
  • Desktop screen: Icon works, but folders has to enable " Show Icon not thumbnail" to be work

  • Taskbar: Also not change

-The pack I use has specifics Icon for those File which is not change-

2. CursorFX Plus

CursorFX Plus problem

New Cursor visible everywhere except

  • Start Menu area (Left side)
  • Notification area (Right side)
  • Taskbar not work when one the above menu is open

-The cursor run to the back of the Menus, instead of visible in the front. I just know where is it because the application highlight when the cursor is on them. ( 7 Zip file highlight because Cursor is behind)-

Hello,
Sorry to hear you are having issues. Need more information.

1) Windows 10 version, please use Winver.exe for full Windows version numbers.

2) IconPackager version.

3) CursorFX version.

on IconPackager,

Yes there will always be some unchanged icons, mostly because the author did not include that specific icons in his/her work. Some because Windows 10/Iconpackager limitation.

But from your screenshot. I figure you put on Vampothika's DarkNet, here what I get on my desktop.

Not really sure why those folders not appearing on your system. Maybe try reboot and retest.

2) CursorFX Plus

There is know issue on some system with regard Cursor when missing on Startpanels. This issue was resolved on newly release CursorFX v4. Please try that version. https://www.stardock.com/products/cursorfx/

So sorry for that, I need help from all sources, Has been try to fix this forever.

The Verson:

  • 1909 Window 10 Version
  • The CursorFX Plus when I first got this issue is 2.00 version, Has try the newer one but still got the same problem.
  • The Icon Packager I first use is 5.00 version and I also try later version but seem still older than the one you have on your post.

The Concern:

  1. Is the new version of both CursorFX and Icon Packager fix all the issue above ?
  2. Can they operating fine in 1909 Window 10 version that I own ?
  3. It seem both software work fine for you. So the issue not occur because I use a 30 Trial, Or because I not paid for the product yet right ?
  4. Is very hard to seek answer, Could I have your email address, please ?

Hello again,

1. CursorFX v4 have no report from others on hidden cursor behind Windows 10 Start panel. You can do 30 days trial to verify in your situation. I am running IconPackager V10.03 and as you can see my screenshot above there are still some icons not changed. I believe you also can download the trial version for it.

2. I am currently running Windows 10 v1909 (OS Build 18363.815). So if you're running latest official Windows10 released you should be okay.

3. Stardock's Trial, from what I understand is full version software with Time limited activation.

4. We do our support through forum.

  1. OK so all problem is because not upgrade to a new version, huh ?
  2. But then after a while of using we will have to buy the new update version ?
  3. Is not a free upgrade right ?

Just try to finalize a few things before decide to put a few stuffs to my cart.

The trial version is for 30 days. Once you purchase a license, you will get free "updates" when it is available.
