Fences 3 activation problem with the .req file

Error related to Local Time (1014)

Hi

I bought Fences 3 on 9th April 2020 but I couldn't activate the licence, as this a professional computer and I am not usually the administrator. So I downloaded the .req file, asked my IT support for temporary administrator ID but ... I can't activate it now.

When uploading my .req file online (http://activate.stardock.com/SASAct.aspx), I have this error message : "LocalTime specified is invalid. Your local system time may be misconfigured. (1014)"

This error message appears whatever navigator I use (Mozilla, Chrome, Edge, IE).

I tried to change my local time (I live in Madagascar but my computer is from my company in France), but no effect.

Can you give me a solution to overpass this error message  ?

Sorry to hear you are having trouble.

There is a reason we pay attention to the time.

That said, its important to upload the file soon after it is created.  Also, you would want to disconnect any VPN connection that may have you look like you are in a different time zone.

--> It has been 19 days since I purchased Fences 3. Is it too long?

--> I do not have any VPN connected.

 

What other solution could you propose?

Not since the purchase - the time of the req file creation to when you upload it.  Do them one right after one another.

19 days between req fil creation and upload. = time to get authorization from IT support to be temporary admin of the computer

If it is too long, can you provide me with a new req file?

Yeah, that is WAY too long (7 days is the limit).

I would if I could but it has to be created on the PC needing activation.

so how can I manage to have a new req file, without purchasing a new subscription?

You would go through the activation process as you did prior, get a new one, and repeat the process.

But how can I get the key number? I do not have it anymore!

As far as I can remember, it appeared in a pop-up window, and I can not find any email from Stardock on that day.
