Big snap being ignored

Having a bit of issue with snapping in Fences version 3.0.9.11 on Windows 10 x64 version 1909 build 18363.778.

The issue is that if you have fences round a group of icons on the RIGHT side of the monitor (i.e. > 960 on a 1920 x 1080 display) the "big" snap is ignored and only the "small" and edge snapping is observed.

I don't really know how to explain it, but if you create a fence around a few icons and drag it to the leftmost part of your screen where it snaps to the left edge, if you then start to drag it to the right it will snap at a "large" interval (the word "large" is indiscriminate and just used to differentiate the snap distances), line up with other fences you have and also snap to a "small" interval when it approaches another fence.

However, if you continue to scroll past the midway point then the snap to the "big" interval is non existent and if you continue to drag to a second monitor all snapping is non existent except for screen edge snapping.

If you need me to I will try and explain more (although I'm not sure how) or maybe I can try and make a video to show what I mean although I'd have to figure out how to do it without revealing my entire desktop first.

Hello,

Sorry to hear you are having issues.

Do a video capture and post it back here , not really clear about your issue .

I'm such a dork. I removed some of my fences to reduce clutter for the video and it simply wasn't doing what I called the "big" interval snap as it was yesterday. This got me thinking and I feel such a dumb arse. The reason it wasn't snapping now (how embarrassing) was because I'd removed all my horizontal fences and it was these fences that the other fences were snapping to and not the "big" interval which I was imagining (just like an imaginary friend) due to my layout.

This means there is no bug but I had to modify my own layout to see this.

Sorry! This topic can be closed / deleted as it's not really of much use to anyone else unless of course (in the unlikely event) they make the same mistake.
