Cant use skin studio due to windows blinds issue - says I require newer version

previously have purchased windows blinds 7 - can't download - shows as legacy

from Stardock Forums

I am trying to create a theme for my pc but i get errors even before I start ...I run skin studio and get an error saying that this version of skin studio requires win blind 8 or higher to be installed

Sorry to hear you are having issues.

We need to collect more information.

1 - Full Windows version ( use winver.exe )

2 - WindowBlinds version your using .

thanks but how do i actually upgrade to the full version without having to pay a the full version cost? is their a discounted upgrade or something?
