Mouse on Secondary

I am evaluating Multiplicity KVM with a view to making a purchase.

I have one stick PC, minus mouse/keyboard and screen, which I need to access daily - other PCs are fully supplied.

Sometimes I get a mouse cursor on this stick, other times I don't. When I don't I cannot see anything on the screen to show where I am supposed to be pointing. Occasionally some button will highlight, but often it's a stab in the dark and very annoying.

How can I ensure I get a mouse pointer on this PC, this virtual pointer is next to useless.

This is the only issue that is, currently, preventing me making a firm decision on purchasing.

Multiplicity has an option on the secondary to show a cursor if you do not have a physical mouse installed.

If you enable that you should you have a cursor.

That setting has been checked and I still don't get a meaningful pointer, unfortunately. All I can see are buttons suddenly brighten as though something is on them - but it's not useful as mentioned in my original.
