Lose connection when laptop lid is closed

Windows 10

I lose the connection to my windows 10 pro laptop when the lid closes. Windows 10 power setting is to do nothing when the lid closes. Kind of defeats the purpose of Multiplicity if I have to have two monitors on.

That really sounds like there is an issue with the Windows 10 power setting itself...;)

Can you still ping the Secondary when the lid is closed?  If not, Windows is powering down networking - something MP needs.

I can ping the laptop while the lid is closed. As soon as I lift the lid the screen appears on the laptop and I'm still logged into the laptop.

Can you still use RDP to connect to it - can you still get to network / folder shares on it (create them to test if you don't have them)?

Because it is Windows 10 Home RDP is not available. That is why I purchased the KVM upgrade to Multiplicity.
