How to create convex taskbar for Windows 10?

New to SkinStudio, purchased just last night. I've installed the Diamond (Vista) theme from WindowBlinds on Windows 10 (version 1903). How would I go about changing the taskbar on that theme to a dark, 3-D convex taskbar like Windows Vista used to have?

I have no experience in modifying visual elements, so the simplest, most-automated solution available would be welcome. Am willing to learn, up to a point. :)

Thanks very much.

Can you find another WB uploaded that has a TaskBar you would like to look like on the diamond skin. Maybe you can list the name of the WB or take a screen shot of it and upload it here.

I was on vista at one time  but can't remember what it looked like. But of course I was on DOS at one time also. lol.

In Short: -You need an application like Photoshop or similar and then use various effects and colouring techniques to get the desired result. Then save it as a Png image in the same size as the first Taskbar was and then Import it into Skinstudio in the Horizontal Taskbar area ;)

OK, of the ones that come with WB, BoomBa looks to have the taskbar that comes closest to matching the Vista taskbar. I'll give that a try, thanks for the idea.

I did a search in WinCustomize for "convex taskbar" but didn't come up with anything. There are some very old Vista themes listed and I might try those, in case by chance they still work in Windows 10.

Whoa! That's the kind of deep dive I was hoping to avoid.O:)

But I'm not ruling it out, yet.

Try this. Import it into your skin. You may have to tweak it some.  Save it as a .png file.

I hope it helps. That should be fairly close to the Vista taskbar. Horizontal, anyway.

It sure did help:

I wanted to upload this last night, but the forum software was blocking new messages.

Thanks very much for your help, the 3D taskbar looks great!  :congrat:

Will be playing around with making the taskbar buttons for selected/unselected applications look different, but this taskbar is the main effect I was aiming for.
