Uploading Screenshots?

Am i missing something? I've tried to UPLOAD a screenshot to Wincustomize, filled in the details, and keep getting an INVALID FILE FORMAT error message.
The PREVIEW and SCREENSHOT are JPG files, is this the right format?
The UPLOAD page doesn't give you any information as to size of screenshot or preview, and doesn't tell you the format for the screenshot! Please help as i am getting noware fast! >

Yeah...It is .jpg only...mmm...Could have something to do with a character in the file name

for screenshots the preview image should be a full-size jpg and the file should also be a full-size jpg. If you're doing this and you still get the error, it's probably just one of those weird days for the server. Keep trying, it'll probably work eventually.

yep - what zodiaq says is also true, weird characters in the filename, or even spaces in the filename might make it bomb out.

Forgot to mention...make sure the Preview image has a different file name than the Screenshot image...That's probably the issue

Thank you for your help so far, i have tried all your suggestions but none of them seem to work.
Same error message every time "You have tried to upload an invalid file format".
I thought it might have something to do with my art package, and the jpg format it uses? But i have several different art and photo progs, and have tried them all, with the same result.

Tried everything you all suggested and nothing worked!
Even tried UPLOADING as a PNG file,(didn't work.)
The server seems to go through the process of uploading, but then returns the same error message over and over again!
I dont know what else to try?

Sorry about your issues Willabong...All the posts have pretty much everything covered.

You could send an email to T-Man pford@stardock.com

Maybe he can see what's going on.

Willabong....to upload a screenshot...it needs to be a jpg...can be same name and exactly same file in both preview and full pic...as the small image is generated automatically....therefore you put the same image in both sections....be certain to name the image without 'odd' characters....alpha-numeric only....no tildes, etc....so all that means is 'mydesktop.jpg' is a good name...and upload it in both sections....

Thank you Jafo, did exactly what you suggested, (this is getting to be a real pain!) still no joy, i'm getting the same error message, the file name is correct, the format is correct, perhaps the server doesn't like the colour of the screenshot and is going to turn the worlds missiles on us and start world war three.(Watch out for TERMINATORS everywhere!)

Willabong...email me the image...I'll take a look at its format and see if there is a 'problem' with it specifically... martinp@smart.net.au

I would like to thank you all for your advice and genuine help with my problem.Sadly we never got to the root of the trouble, i still can't upload a screenshot to this site.A suggestion was made that it might be my browser settings causing the problem, so i tried uploading to SKINBASE org, and the first time i tried it uploaded.
Again,thank you all for trying.
