[BUG] Background in Fences do not match actual background

The background in my fences do not match my actual background when I have this setting enabled (http://prntscr.com/p1i08r).

That background in my fences is the background of my other monitor which has no fences on it. My wallpapers are on a slide show that change every 10 minutes.

Updating my windows will break some other enhancements I have such as removing the lock screen and many other unexpected hiccups due to just how far behind I am on versions.

Is my problem unique and most likely due to the Windows version?

Most likely. But, you can try the purge and reinstall steps and see if that help : https://forums.stardock.com/486084/fences-support-faq#reinstalling

Just make sure to re-download the latest version from your account. Reboot after the purge and reboot again after the reinstall. Report back here.

Similar issue, only my wallpaper turns completely black and I can still see the image in the translucent fences folder when I open it.

I only have one static image set in Windows interface, and problem will go away if I click the wallpaper again in windows (just temporary) or if I disable fences. While disabling fixes the wallpaper, if I re-enable fences the problem will be right back. The only fix I can do is set the wallpaper again each time it goes to black. I do this 1-2 times a day. I also had a random issue a couple of times, where a window was behind the icons.

One thing that might be related, I use a lot of memory in other apps. I have 16GB of RAM and my page file can get up to 20GB with ease. Memory in windows reports 75-80% usage.

Fences 3.0.9.11

DeskScapes 10.0 (just updated didn't restart yet, not currently in use)

Windows 10 Pro 1903 / 18362.418 (updated 6 days ago, but was doing the same before)

Hello,
Sorry to hear you are having issues. Please do a reboot. A lot of time a simple reboot solve the issue.

Reboot is the worst answer possible. It's like killing yourself when you get a cold. Also the problem persists after reboot and even windows updates. I only reboot on forced updates, power loss or blue screens. At the time of my post I only had an up-time of 6 hours.

Would like to suggest to purge and reinstall steps as mentioned here : https://forums.stardock.com/486084/fences-support-faq#reinstalling

Just make sure to re-download the installer from your account. Reboot after the purge. Retest if all your black wallpaper is gone with Fences is purged out. Reinstall Fences when that is confirmed. Reboot again after the install. Report back after the installation finished.
