UWP taskbar icons dark when Start10 installed

I have started using a couple of Win10 UWP apps, which I have pinned to my taskbar. If Start10 is installed, the icons are very dark and essentially invisible. Attached are two pics showing a machine without Start10 and one with. You cannot see it on the second image, but those two icons on the right on the first image are on the right in the bottom image. If I click on them, I launch the apps; I simply cannot see them.

I have been thru various settings in both Windows and in Start10, but I don't know how to make this work.

It looks like you may have altered your OS settings to use a white taskbar.

Which version of Start10 are you using as if you are using an old version that isn't aware of Windows 10 light mode taskbar then it would paint that black but the OS would paint the icons black too as it would expect a white background.

So I figured out what caused this, and it is the icons that Start10 uses for UWP apps based on which Start10 Style is selected. Choose Win7 Style and look at the UWP icons in the Start Menu (dark on light background), now change it to Win10 Style and look at the icons (light on dark background).

I was able to resolve it by deleting the taskbar UWP icons, changing to Win10 Style, and re-pinning the apps, and then changing my Start10 back to Win7 Style. It matters what Style you've selected when you're pinning UWP apps.
