Can I get a real answer on how to reinstall old layout from previous Windows???? Support said try here

I know where my old layout is just not how to get it to show in Layout

I first did a search and read every post & reply like look in App Data etc.  But not one answer works.  Before I formatted and reinstalled Windows 10 I copied my entire user folder including App Data - roaming.  I have the layout photos and moved them into my new USER folder App Data but nope they show up but don't show in Layout Snapshots.  I doubt but hope I won't get the same links to previous responses that don't work.

So I had already search searched and rean every single one of the links - pages you showed.   The only one that comes close to an answer is this one on the FAQ page : XP: C:\Documents and Settings\USERNAME\Application Data\Stardock\Fences\Backups

Vista/7/8/10: C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Roaming\Stardock\Fences\Backups

You will need to replace USERNAME with your user account name on your PC.

Alternatively, you can import the following registry key into the new machine's registry:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Stardock\Fences

To restore a snapshot:

But 2 big problems. 1: After doing a search in Explorer and finding the old snapshots ( I have 9 hard drives with plenty of backups) it did nothing.  See enclosed files

2.  I found the registry file with the old snapshot but WHERE & How to import to registry?   I did a backup of my registry AND did a search for Stardock\Fences and found dozens of entries.Fences registry entry short

No problem and I thank u for not thinking I was being snarky or rude ( I wasn't) just beyond confused.  It shouldn't be this hard to backup and reinstall on a new pc or new windows load.  When I reinstalled Win 10 I ended up with about 50 icons on the desktop & right now the only option is to 1: delete all icons 2. Go through dozens of hard drives ( I tend to keep a separate drive for each kind of software ie utilities etc  3.  Send the icon to the desktop  4.  move the icon to that box ie utilities.

'It did nothing' - does that mean any search found no results?

You export it from one PC and then import it to the new - in that order.

So I took the old Fences Registry entry and imported it and nothing happened.   I can't upload the reg file but I had used a program called CloneApp & it had backed up the reg file.   & yes I can just go ahead and start over but with Windows 10 acting up it's a pain.

OK after one day & doing the reg import I got my old layout back.  Seeing this question over and over and seeing the same answers that didn't help anyone - I would suggest using Clone App to backup the Fences Registry entry and then just do an import with regedit.
