Common Programs folder

Hi,

I would like to override the default Common Programs folder: C:\Programdata\MIcrosoft\WIndows\Menu Start\Programs by a manual folder. I did change it in registry on: HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\Shell Folders (Same on same path at WOW6432NODE)

Key: Common Programs

It looks like Start10 is not taking this path, it still shows folder on the C:\ location.

How can I change this? Or is there a setting in Start10 to show a manual path?

Make sure you have also modified the entry for common_startmenu as Start10 uses both common start menu and common programs (as well as the user start menu and user programs folder)

That's assuming you mean programs vs program files and are talking about the all programs list here.

Thank you for quick reply.

I just changed also the key for Common Start Menu

Still it's showing default folder. Any more idea's?

I can not send screenshot in this forum right?
For example I go to Start button > Right click "Programs" then location is still C:\Programdata\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu

Those two right click options query the OS directly for CSIDL_COMMON_STARTMENU and CSIDL_STARTMENU via SHGetFolderPath.  If you are getting an old location then your method of changing their folder is incorrect.
