Fences will not show until I right click on the desktop

Hi everyone and thanks for reading.

When my computer boots, Fences will not show until I right click on the desktop.  I don't have to actually open anything, just right click. I am guessing this has something to do with Windows Explorer?

I have been using Fences for years and this has always been the case on every computer of mine so, I would not be surprised if this is clearly user error or something of mine causing this.

Right clicking just became a habit and honestly its not that big of a deal to do a quick right click.. but Today I just got to wondering if I could find a solution to this.

Thanks again.

Hello,

Need to know what are your setting on those I listed on the screenshot I posted below. Those red arrows.

Thank you,

Yes, they remain hidden until I right click or open a Windows Explorer window.

Please try the purge and reinstall steps : https://forums.stardock.com/486084/fences-support-faq#reinstalling

Just make sure to re-download the latest version from your account. Reinstall that. Reboot and retest.

Report back here.

Hello,

Sorry to hear you are having issues.

Check your settings in taskbar manager/startup - that both are enabled .

I had the same issue, had to open explorer using windows + E to get fences to start after a reboot/turn on
After checking the startup tab in Task Manager showed as disabled, once enabled I rebooted to test and it all loaded up correctly.
Thank you EricHilton1987 for making the thread
and Thank You AzDude for the solution.
