mouse cursor disappeared on primary monitor

This happened just now. After I switched from secondary to primary (seamless switching, not KVM mode), mouse cursor on primary computer disappeared/became invisible. Furthermore, when I clicked the buttons on the mouse nothing happened. Any suggestions why it happened, how I can prevent this in future, and if it happens how I can recover from it? Thanks.

is this a USB port switcher you're talking about?

if so, these can get confused. just toggle it back and forth, and it might fix the problem.

No, it's multiplicity. I can move mouse cursor between primary and secondary. when I moved the mouse cursor from secondary back to primary, the cursor did not show up, it was invisible/disappeared.

I have this issue, too. I wish Stardock would fix it.

I usually have to do <ctrl>-<alt>-<del> on one or both PCs to get it back.

Hello,

Sorry to hear you are having trouble.

While very rare, if either PC is under great stress when you trasition, I have seen it happen.  You still have a cursor, its just not visible - get to the mouse properties, change the scheme (and back if you like) and it should reappear:

Two WIN10 computers, version 1803 and 1809 - worked fine.
Last night, the primary was upgraded from 1803 to 1903 and the mouse cursor was lost on the secondary.
I followed above suggestion (by Sean Drohan), connected a mouse directly to the secondary to change mouse setting.
Great!, it worked, but, not so fast 😒
As soon as disconnect the mouse from the secondary, the mouse disappears.
Do I have to keep a second mouse connected to the secondary machine?
