Hello,

Sorry to hear you are having issues. No we have not receive any problem with groupy. Please try the purge and reinstall steps :

https://forums.stardock.com/488142/groupy-support-faq#reinstalling

Just make sure to re-download the latest version from your account. And reinstall that after the purge reboot. And reboot again after the installation. Retest and report back here.

Followed directions exactly. What I discovered is that only MICROSOFT applications (I tried Excel, Word, and File Explorer) have Groupy enabled on their windows. All my other apps (Affinity products, Thunderbird, etc) do not work.

That isn't going to work for me so I've uninstalled Groupy and will try installing again in the future when I have the time.

Thank you for trying!

Groupy will work with much more than just MS (Office) apps.  I cannot test 'Affinity' products (to know if they are part of a rare group that prevents grouping), but Thunderbird does indeed group with other apps:

If you have examples of others that do not (perhaps more common applications) that do not, please let me know.  If there are free trials for non-common ones, please pass those along we well.

If it is a targeting issue, try this feature to see if you have more success (as a test):

This is going to sound like a silly question, but those listed happen to be the only applications set to automatically by default show a tab even when not grouped.

You do know to create a group you simply drag windows over each others titlebars and depending on groupy settings either pause for a short time (or not if set to instant) and groupy should show tabbing notifications?

You can then tell Groupy to always show a tab even when not grouped for that app from the ... Menu.

Yeah, sometimes we forget the basics, so it's good to check. But I'm a registered user and had been using it all day long every day. The 1903 update was installed and BAM, not working anymore. I've tried everything I can think of. I'll just wait for another Windows update and see what happens.

I would imagine it is a setting set wrongly in that case (perhaps put into inclusion mode)

Deleting the entire HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Stardock\Groupy registry tree would reset everything bar saved groups.

I tried the purge batch file from <https://forums.stardock.com/488142/groupy-support-faq#reinstalling>
It says this
The Stardock Groupy service is not started.
More help is available by typing NET HELPMSG 3521.
C:\WINDOWS\system32>net helpmsg 3521
The *** service is not started.
**How is that more help?**
Any ideas?
