Is this ever going to be possible ?

Obviously it CAN be done.

Thinking about the inside backgrounds...

I believe that was done using an application that hacks system files Andy, which is really not desirable and unsafe. Windowblinds was made to not hack system files if I remember correctly.

I am thinking a "Side program" like Start 10 maybe could circumvent that problem...

"Special" backgrounds could then be optional...

Do you mean the translucent explorer backgrounds?

If so that remains a feature of Windowblinds on Windows 7 as I recall.  Later versions of Windows had changes which made this feature problematic.

Don't you think "Addon/plugin" apps similar to Start 10 could be created for "extra" features to Windowblinds... such as Transparency/lucency in different areas and Skinned Popups all over Explorer etc...?

If a feature has been removed from Windowblinds it is for a good reason.  If it were simple to fix it would still be in Windowblinds.
