Hello,

Sorry to hear you are having issues.

I'm not really sure what you mean by picture icons and .dream icons.

I need you to show us a screen capture or video screen capture .

You can use a free image hosting site to get a link to post then

here in this forum i.e. https://imgur.com/?

You could at least try to understand what people are writting...

You know what I'm talking about as it's your software -> DeskScapes10

What DeskScapes10 is for? -> Using a video as desktop background.

What the extension of the "video" do DeskScapes10 use? -> .Dream

What I mean by picture desktop's icons (not "picture icons" like you said) or .Dream desktop's icons (not ".dream icons" like you said)? -> icons that are on a picture desktop or on a .Dream desktop.

What I mean by picture desktop or .Dream desktop? -> depending of what is set as desktop background, it can be a desktop with a picture set as background (picture desktop) or a desktop with a .Dream set as background (.Dream desktop)...

You want me to show you a screen capture or a video screen capture of something that don't appear, seriously?

Ok... Can someone "really" try to help, please? :annoyed:

Are you using Fences as well? If you double click the desktop do the icons appear?

What we want to see, to help overcome an obvious language barrier, is video of when it is working and what you need to do to make it not work so we can try to reproduce it.

I would also like to know if this happens if you perform a clean boot:

- Sometimes, when I start the computer and open my Windows session, if a .Dream is set as desktop background, the desktop icons don't appear.

- Sometimes, when I start the computer and open my Windows session, if a .Dream is set as desktop background, the desktop icons appear.

- When I start the computer and open my Windows session, if a picture is set as desktop background, the desktop icons always appear.

It's simple.

I never had this issue before I install DeskScapes10 (no issue with DeskScapes8.51), and I haven't install anything new since I installed DeskScapes10.

No need of a clean boot as it's logic that it's a DeskScapes10 issue. A random one.

Today the Icons appear on both of my "Windows 7 Home Premium SP1 x64" computers (a Notebook and a Desktop Computer), with .Dream set as desktop background... But "Tomorrow"?

A random one 'for you' (we have no other reports like yours nor have we seen it in house).  What a clean boot would tell us is if there is a 3rd party app conflict with DS, not necessarily a DS 'issue'.

Perhaps try an F5 when it does happen to refresh the desktop or a restart of Windows Explorer.

When you say "we have no other reports like yours", it's wrong -> I seen the same report in the forums (a previous DeskScapes version) but this guy had no reply in his topic.

Yesterday:

- I had no issue with DeskScapes8.51.

- I uninstalled DeskScapes8.51, reboot, used the DSPurge, reboot, delete all the remaining DeskScape8.51 folders/files, used cleanmgr.exe, reboot, installed DeskScapes10, reboot -> No issue with the icons.

- Turned off the computer, turned on the computer -> issue with the icons.

- Tried F5 and Windows Explorer restart -> No change, issue with the icons.

- Turned off the computer.

Today:

- Turned on the computer -> No issue with the icons.

- Turned off the computer, turned on the computer -> No issue with the icons.

Tomorrow: ?

I still say that there's no need of a clean boot as it's logic that it's a DeskScapes10 issue. A random one.
