Fences 3 not working

Hello,

I have recently come across a problem when trying to create a fence in win 10, by dragging the mouse and clicking the right mouse button as usual nothing happens except that the pull-down menu (Configure Fences...) appears when releasing the RMB.

No fence is created, just the menu.

If I keep on trying I usually get the same result and at some point the hourglass on the pointer appears and sometimes the desktop crashes.

I have only updated the graphics driver and made some cleanup with Ccleaner, which I never considered a dangerous utility.

Uninstalled and reinstalled Fences again, the problem is still there.

What can I do ?   Please help...  Thanks in advance

Marco

Hello,

I have carried out the indicated steps but unfortunately the situation has not changed... still the same behaviour (i.e. dragging and RMB, releasing RMB but no fence, only pull-down menu).

Did it install any other software with the driver?  If so, it would be prudent to disable / uninstall it to test as most have overlays that could be causing a problem.

The other option would be to try a clean boot to see if any other app / setting is causing an issue:

Hello everyone

I have finally managed to solve the problem |-)

It was the internet security suite "360 Total Security" that silently installed its own desktop organizer utility conflicting with "Fences".

After removing that overlay I could make "Fences" work again.

Thank you all for your help

I have the same problem only after loading CCleaner.  I could not left click and drag the line to create a new window.  Otherwise Fences seems to work.  I suspect I will unload ccleaner and see what happens, or perhaps reload fences.  Great Product I could not live without.

I did have ccleaner installed. I just uninstalled it but problem is still there. I will try a reboot next and report whether that helps.
