Restore Snapshots not working

Fences 3.0.9.11
Windows 10 build 1809

RESTORE function will not work.

Hasn't worked for a long time, but I'm to the point of frustration now, having uninstalled and reinstalled multiple times in an effort to get it working properly.

I have several snapshots available to restore from/to, but when I select and restore nothing seemingly happens.

I say 'seemingly'  because it doesn't appear that it moves any of my fences back to their proper "snapshot position".

But if I happen to re-position any of my fences and THEN select a snapshot and try to restore to that snapshot, it will move that fences that I just moved back to its previous location instead of actually restoring the snapshot.

And now I've noticed that it is grouping all fences ontop of themselves on a single monitor: I have FOUR monitors... with fences on each of the four.   But when I click RESTORE SNAPSHOT, it moves ALL fences to a SINGLE monitor.  It does not restore them to their proper position on different monitors.

I have referred to your online resources to confirm that I have all of the settings set as suggested. Still no luck.

I am at a loss at this point.

I too have noticed restore snapshot has never really worked as intended with multiple monitors.

Hello,

Sorry to hear you are having issues. But you like to know more.

1) Windows version. Use Winver.exe for full version numbers.

2) Monitors number and connection type VGA, HDMI, Display port, DVI or USB.

Thanks

Yes, there are multiple backups in that file location. And FENCES show 6 snapshots available to restore.

Four Monitors via four HDMI cables
End of webmaster126's quote

Need to know more. That 4 HDMI come out from 2x2 graphics card or 1xgraphics card with HDMI splitter into 4 HDMI?

Thank you,

UPDATE:   i had to look again - I stand corrected.  Three monitors connected via display port. One via HDMI.

Video card is the NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1070 and has one HDMI out, three display port out.

Thanks

It is conceivable that your monitor situation has changed over time.  If you create a new snapshot, then move icon / fences around, then restore that new snapshot, does it work?

If not, are you using any monitor management software such as DisplayFusion or UltraMon?
