absolutely. Why in the world would you stick to your release date unless you are planning to quit Stardock?   This is "JACKED" I have 182 apps running fine on a high end lappie and told you already this didn't work!  I suppose you want to use innocent public for funds coming in to figure out WHY?

 

In my past life, after 15 years of great service, you would have been fired for such a stupid decision.

If you have Object Desktop check your account ver.10 should be there for you.

If you have a stand alone version 8 , then yes you would have to upgrade to the new version 10

that can be done at a discount .

The program works with errors. Windows 7. I add dreams , but they are not displayed in the program. I have to uninstall the program and install it again

Doesn't work on my computer. Having the same issue I had with version 8 and I just upgraded my subscription for another year so I could get the latest version only to find out it still doesn't work.

I sent a support ticket off and they told me to come here. This is my original support ticket I sent to them.

 

Dear Support,

I seem to be having an issue with Deskcapes in regards to when I apply a dream package it stays on the screen for about three seconds then reverts back to the wallpaper I was using. Do you know what the issue could be?

I am running Windows 10 Pro version 1803 (OS Build 17134.441) and I am running version 8_8.51 of Deskcapes.

Any help and assistance you can provide to me to get this working will be very much appreciated.

Would suggest to upgrade to Deskscapes 10.02. As you mentioned you just upgrade your subscription. Deskscapes 10 should be included in your OD pack.

Hello and thank you for your help.

I just upgraded to 10.02 the Beat version but I was still having the same issue.

I also run a program called display fusion located here:

https://www.displayfusion.com/

As it turns out Deskcapes doesn't like working with this program for some reason. So as soon as I exited Display Fusion Deskscapes started working for me as it should.

I post my findings in case someone else has the same problem so they can resolve the issue.

Display fusion is probably set to manage the wallpaper and is setting it back each time after a Deskscapes dream is applied.

There will be a setting to disable this in Display Fusion.

Interesting program that I wish was worth me purchasing, however after trialling it find there is an apparent, almost total lack of 4K quality video for download (I have a 4K monitor), nor any apparent way of refining the search parameters for video to highlight any with 4K quality.

I tried some of the abundantly available 1080p videos, however they look absolute rubbish on my 4K monitor.

Perhaps DeskScapes 11 ???

Can't seem to find the upgrade to Deskscape 10.  When I go into account/my downloads it seems to want to download my old version (8.5).  When I go to the software link, I don't see a way of letting it know I have already paid for the software so I don't get charged again.  Do I download the free version and it will automatically recognize my license and activate the full version (some software upgrades work this way)?  Can someone please let me know how to get the upgrade.

Hello,

Deskscape 10 is upgrade from Deskscape 8. It is not an update. You need to pay for it. Just like an upgrade from Windows 8 to Windows 10.
