IconPackager 10

"Enter Product Key" button is frozen

While installing Iconpackager 10, the "Enter Product Key" radio button will not open for me to activate it. I've tried reinstalling several times but with the same result.

Hello,

Sorry to hear you are having issues.

If you have an Ad Block running turn off for now

or try a different browser then report back if that worked .

I do not think the browser is the issue. It's the activation as part of the installer.

I have the activation codes via my Stardock account. What's happening is that, after installation, a pop-up window, well, pops up. There are three options - to activate, to purchase, or use the trial. It's here that the program freezes.

Hello,

I was informed that the activation button somehow do use or link to Internet Explorer settings. So would advice Client to reset IE to its default state or you could use the command prompt activation method listed here : https://forums.stardock.com/486311/accounts-and-activation-support-faq#activatecommandprompt.

Try it and let us know.

Thank you,

Okay. Uninstalled the program; ran the purge.bat; rebooted; reinstalled; rebooted again (just in case); opened program.  And same issue--pop-up activation window at the first start of IconPackager froze.

Thank you, AzDude. I've never seen an installer act this way

Not per se.  After installation and at the first start, the pop-up activation window appears but it -- and the program -- is frozen (see posts 2, 5, and 8 above).

Please try the following:

-For Win8/10 Users: Open the Start Screen, and type 'cmd'. Right-click on the search result and select 'Run as administrator' from below.

-Type: sfc /scannow

-Wait for the scan to complete (this can take several minutes)

If the SFC finds errors, but cannot fix them, please also run the following command in the same command prompt window:

dism.exe /online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth

The above command should assist with replacing any damaged or problematic system files. Please note, however, since it may require restoring certain files, this process can take some time and you will need to be patient until it has completed.

Please let me know whether this resolves your problem or if you have any additional questions.
